Helping
with Quilt Needs for the Elderly
We have a
huge need for warm, adult-sized quilts for the elderly in Romania. Last
year we took about 200 quilts and could have easily used MANY
more. Please help us sew quilts to fill the need or pass along the
news to others. It's a good time to learn and check out your local
quilt store for help.
The Naked
Quilt store is opening it's doors on Tuesday evenings from
6:30-9:00 p.m. from March to June for volunteers to come and make
quilts for Romania. Store owner, Tracy Prevost, donated 8 bolts of
fabric and is also giving a 15% discount on additional fabric
purchased for quilts being made specifically for Romania. Please bring your own sewing machine or
serger, and any fabric you may have at home.

The Tanasbourne Craft Warehouse's
monthly quilting group has also committed to help by sewing 100
quilts by July 2000.
